About Us

One fall evening in September of 1960, a meeting was held in the home of Al Saddler. In attendance were five other Aggies who with much love, determination, and pride for their Alma Mater, founded the Atlanta Alumni Chapter. Mary Wells, George Geiger, Howard Kennedy, Murris Jones, Willie Walker, and Albert Saddler worked tirelessly as they met in each other’s homes. Today we can rejoice for the success, which was initiated with such a “strong foundation”.

THE ALMA MATER

Dear A & T, Dear A & T
A monument indeed!
Around thy base with grateful hearts
Behold thy students kneel.
We bless the power that gave thee birth
To help us in our need
We’ll ever strive while here on earth
All loyalty to yield.

CHORUS

With joy, with joy, dear A & T,
Thy students turn from thee
To spread their trophies year by year
From Dare to Cherokee.
